“Sometimes, opportunity finds you when someone believes in your potential — that someone was my lecturer.”
In my third semester of university, I was recommended by my lecturer, Roseline Gomes, who recognized potential in my early design work. That recommendation led me to Let Us Dream, a globally rooted nonprofit dedicated to empowering international students and underserved communities through holistic development.
They had a powerful mission — but no designer to visually communicate it.
“Design became the bridge between their vision and the world.”
I joined as a graphic designer and content editor, and quickly stepped into a leadership role, helping build the organization’s visual communication from the ground up.
Led a team of 42 creatives to design global newsletters, flyers, and digital content
Developed workshop manuals focused on youth leadership and personal development
Created marketing materials published across 16+ countries
Collaborated with senior leaders to align visuals with strategic goals
Delivered end-to-end project management, from concept to launch
“I didn’t just deliver visuals — I helped shape how people experienced the message.”
From not having a single designer to building a cohesive communication toolkit, my time with Let Us Dream reminded me that good design is not about perfection — it’s about purpose.
